Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using HandleThat (the “Service”), provided by ForeverBuilt, LLC (“we”, “us”), a Washington State limited liability company doing business as HandleThat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HandleThat is a desktop application providing AI-powered chat, document analysis, and meeting intelligence features. The Service runs locally on your computer with optional cloud-based AI processing through our managed proxy or your own API keys (BYOK).

3. Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to maintain the security of your account credentials. One account per person; account sharing is not permitted.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Plans:

• BYOK Free: $0/month. Unlimited tokens billed by your chosen API provider; we have no visibility into or responsibility for those charges.
• Starter: $12/month. 500,000 tokens/month via our managed AI proxy.
• Pro: $35/month. 2,000,000 tokens/month via our managed AI proxy.

Token-based billing:

Tokens are units of AI compute (~¾ of a word each) consumed by chat messages, document analysis, and meeting transcription processing. When you reach your monthly token limit, AI features pause until the next monthly cycle or you upgrade. We do not charge overage fees.

Trial:

New accounts include a 14-day free trial OR 100,000 tokens through our managed AI proxy, whichever comes first. No credit card is required. The trial automatically converts to no charge if you do not select a paid plan; AI features pause at trial end until you upgrade or switch to BYOK.

BYOK liability:

If you select the BYOK plan, you are solely responsible for all charges, fees, and policies associated with your chosen API provider. ForeverBuilt, LLC has no responsibility for, no visibility into, and no liability for charges incurred via BYOK usage.

Renewal and cancellation:

Paid plans renew monthly and charge automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime via the Customer Portal accessible from your account dashboard. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period; no partial-month refunds.

Refund policy:

We do not refund partial months. Within 14 days of your first paid charge, if you cancel before significant usage (defined as <25% of your tier’s monthly token allotment consumed), we will refund the full charge upon request to support@handlethat.app.

Price changes:

We will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email before any price increase takes effect. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any illegal purpose, (b) resell or redistribute the Service or its outputs, (c) scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code, (d) use the Service to generate content that violates the rights of others, (e) attempt to circumvent token limits or billing controls, or (f) submit content that violates Anthropic’s acceptable use policy when using our managed AI proxy.

6. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Outputs are provided as-is and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any business, legal, medical, financial, or personal decision. You remain responsible for reviewing, verifying, and using AI outputs appropriately.

7. Intellectual Property

HandleThat, the HandleThat name and logo, and all related software, designs, and content are the exclusive property of ForeverBuilt, LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service and any AI outputs generated for you. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content only as necessary to provide the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ForeverBuilt, LLC’s total liability arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid in the past twelve (12) months, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ForeverBuilt, LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of any third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or applicable law, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from the Settings page within the desktop app or by emailing support@handlethat.app.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.

By using HandleThat from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. EU/UK and California users have additional rights described in our Privacy Policy.

All disputes must be brought individually; you waive any right to participate in a class action against ForeverBuilt, LLC.
